If you’re not where you want to be in life, you probably have a wrong approach. So here are some things you can do differently in 2016 that will get you ahead of others and closer to your dreams:
1. Eliminate toxic people from your life.
Everyone has some of them. I’m talking about the ones who don’t believe in you, put you down, bother you with daily problems, complain all the time, are negative and don’t show support and understanding.
Basically, that’s the people who don’t bring out the best in you. And guess what? You don’t need them.
In fact, you can’t move forward if you keep spending time with them daily. They have a much stronger influence on you than you realize.
So be ruthless and eliminate them. Or at least spend much less time with them and don’t listen to their opinion.
2. Surround yourself with passionate and successful individuals.
After getting rid of those who don’t encourage you to succeed, it’s time to find the ones with the same goals.
Look for purpose-driven people (even if it’s only online) who are hustlers, innovative, open to new ideas, and ready to work on new projects.
3. Be clear about what you want.
Having a dream is one thing, but breaking it down into achievable steps is completely another.
So sit down, be honest with yourself and define your ideal lifestyle. Once you have a detailed vision of what you want to achieve, it will be much easier to focus on each step on the way and get these faster.
4. Leave the past behind.
We usually live in the past. And often think about our past mistakes and failures. But instead of learning from them and being motivated to try again, we have regrets, are disappointed in ourselves and lose any ambition to keep going.
So stop living in the past. It doesn’t matter and it can’t be changed. It was what it was, move on and let it be. Otherwise, you ruin your present.
5. Find ways to get more done in less time.
Everything you do can be done in less time, with less effort and in a better way.
So hack productivity and get closer to your goals today.
6. No more time-wasting activities.
Ditch everything that only wastes your time and doesn’t give you results.
Work on breaking your lazy habits, and stop doing more of what doesn’t work. Instead, focus on what’s important, on what has showed progress in the past, and do more of it.
7. Be eager to learn more.
Successful entrepreneurs, and everyone who’s achieved a lot in life, are always on the grow, looking for ways to learn new things, try new techniques and gain more experience.
While the average people focus on what they already know and defend what they think they know.

8. Start waking up earlier.
One of the main reasons to do it is so that you can add 2 more hours of productive work to your day. Which is 700 extra hours per year.

9. Learn from other people’s mistakes.
That’s a smart thing to do. Follow successful leaders in your niche and read about them, study their successes, and most importantly – see what they did wrong and how you can avoid that.
10. Be ruthless with your dreams.
Don’t let others talk you out of your goals, and don’t let distractions get in the way.
You’ll need to prioritize by putting the activities and things that have something to do with your goals on the top of your list, and do them first.
That’s how you make a difference, that’s how you turn your life around and reach the ideal lifestyle.
It’s out there, and it’s absolutely possible. But you need a new approach in order to get what you want. And what better time than the new year.
