You may have heard the term “life coaching” before, but what is coaching really, and does it actually work?

A life coach is someone who helps you reach your goals and make changes in your life. Perhaps you’re feeling stuck or lost and confused in your life.

Maybe you had dreams but you lost your way somehow. Maybe you want to get inspired, feel motivated, and take on the world. But how?

A life coach is supposed to fill that role as your supporter, your motivator, your accountability partner, and life strategist.

You might not see the real value in getting clear on what you want in your life, but once you do, it’s easier to pursue those desires.

Or perhaps you already know exactly what you want in your life, but you seem to be stuck in pursuing it and making it real.

How can you reach your goals with the help of life coaching?

A life coach will help you to uncover and release any mental or emotional blocks. These limiting beliefs can keep us stuck, and we’re not even aware of them!

For example, you might want to be rich but you have anxiety that others will judge you or you’ll feel less connected to others. This would be a fear-based emotional block that is keeping you from reaching your goal of becoming rich.

A life coach is not your therapist. They’re not there to listen to your problems and just nod their head. If you’re already emotionally healthy, then you wouldn’t really need a therapist.

A life coach will challenge you, push you, and question your outlook on life. They’ll ask you “power questions” — What do you really want in life? What feeling are you after? What is keeping you stuck and blocked?

Sounds pretty pointless when reading it now, but when you’re feeling deeply stuck in your life or lost, your coach is someone you can trust and lean on to move your life forward again.

This all sounds well and good, but does life coaching actually work?

99% of clients who have used a life coach are either “somewhat” or “very satisfied” with the overall coaching experience.

That’s a pretty crazy statistic, huh? 99%? That’s almost too good to be true.

But it turns out that there’s little to lose with coaching. After all, the best investment you can make is in yourself. Think of your investment into your college education, into your health, and into your social life.

You have invested a lot of money into these parts of your life. What about investing some money into reaching your goals and finding your true purpose in life? Sounds pretty impactful for your life.

The reasons that most people seek a life coach are:

  • Achieving your goals (64%)
  • Happiness (51%)
  • Finding your purpose (48%)
  • Doing what you love (44%)
  • Career (43%)
  • Confidence (39%)
  • Relationship/love (38%)

What’s more, according to statistics 80% of people improved their self-confidence and 70% improved their work performance. That sounds pretty effective.

How is life coaching so effective?

It turns out that having someone echo back to you your own limited thinking and mental-emotional obstacles, deconstructing them, and then removing them completely, is exactly what you’ve always needed to be free, to be your true self and reach your life goals.

Moreover, your life coach is bringing a wealth of tools, training, education, experience, knowledge, and higher consciousness into the process.

As ancient Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu once said, “The key to growth is the introduction of higher dimensions of consciousness into our awareness.”

And that higher consciousness once brought into our lives can completely revolutionize they way we’re thinking, they way we’re feeling, and the way we’re living.

Life doesn’t come with a pause button. Whether we are happy or depressed, life goes on. Whether we improve ourselves or watch ourselves slowly deteriorate, we will all age and life will continue to pass us by.

While there is no way to stop the clock, we can make the most of our lives, ourselves, and our time here on earth by choosing to lead healthier, more satisfying lives.

There are many ways to do this, but one of the simplest ways to ensure that you live your life to the fullest is to find a life coach.

How to Find a Life Coach

Life coaches are good at helping people become more confident or regain their confidence, and they are excellent mentors. Their experience with other clients and knowledge of various tools and resources makes having them on your team a major plus.

Life coaches come in many different shapes and forms; there are financial coaches, career coaches, family coaches, intuitive coaches, relationship coaches, and spiritual coaches. Everything you could possibly want help with can be provided by life coaching.

Each coach is fully trained and equipped to help you through every phase or change you undergo to better yourself. People rarely accomplish great things alone, and there’s no better person to have cheering you on and aiding you than your life coach.

A life coach’s priority is to help you meet your goals, no matter what they are.

When you find a life coach, you won’t have to worry about him changing their mind or withdrawing support for you midway through your progress. You never have to wonder if he is going to be able to make time for you when you need them the most.

When you rely on friends, you create a support group that can disappear in the blink of an eye. However, a life coach is always committed to your success, and you can always count on them to be there to aid you along the way to your dreams.

Thanks to the internet, you can find a life coach and work with him  from almost anywhere in the world

This means that you get the opportunity to work with coaches from other regions and cultures, and you have endless options when it comes to choosing your best coach.

Internet based coaching has never been simpler due to today’s very mobile technology. You no longer require a desktop PC to meet with your coach over video chat, and you definitely don’t need to wait for an email to see what your coach has to say. You can carry out sessions on your mobile phone and chat with instant messaging or voice calls.

You can also work with the person who feels most comfortable and familiar to you. You get to decide whether you want to work with a male or female coach, the type of coaching you need, the age of your coach, the skills of your coach, and so on.
