How Becoming a Blogger Can Change Your Life
Welcome to Let’s Reach Success – a place for new and intermediate bloggers looking for tips on how to grow their traffic and income.
There’s plenty of content you can find on the topic (I’ve listed most of it here), but first, I want to make something clear.
While it may sound easy, starting a blog and turning it into a business could be a challenge for some who are stuck in the 9 to 5 lifestyle, surrounded by people with a fixed mindset who don’t believe anyone could achieve financial freedom, who are in debt, or too busy to start a side hustle.
You need to realize that starting a blog can help you transform your life and reach much bigger goals. But you need to believe it’s possible first.
Otherwise, your biggest limitation will be that whatever you try first and doesn’t work, you’ll immediately give up and decide blogging is not for you.
Well, that’s not true. And your first attempt at blogging might be unsuccessful assuming you’re not a marketer by nature, you don’t really know your niche, audience, how to make money online, or how to use your talents and skills to write great content that inspires but also sells.
Becoming a blogger will change your life.
It changed mine and look at my situation:
- I come from a non-English speaking country with a bad economy (Bulgaria), yet I write in English, have been published on some pretty big publications such as TIME magazine, and my freelance clients wanted me to write articles for their business blogs when I first started making money online;
- I’m not even in the US, which is where the real deal happens online, yet my audience, students and customers are mainly from there;
- No one in my surroundings took me seriously when I said I won’t be continuing my education (it was time for a master’s degree after uni and relatives expected that from me). But as I was already earning some initial income online through freelancing and have never been a fan of formal education anyways, I left that path and created my own;
- I don’t have a degree or professional experience in the industries I’m making money in now. I started from 0 and gained experience through writing and publishing articles on my blog for years and writing for clients online. Eventually, the more you do it, the more you’re being taken seriously in your niche.
In the digital world, no one cares who you worked for before, what your educational background is, or where you come from.
It’s all about having your own platform to prove to the world you are good at one thing (my special skill is creating written content) and sharing your message (mine was about personal development, that we can all change, form a stronger mindset and live the life we want. Later, I started teaching business and blogging).
Some people are passionate about traveling, start making videos talking about it, and end up gaining a lot of attention after a few months or years. Then, they quit their job, start traveling full-time and share their adventures on the road, while being sponsored by brands.
Anything’s possible.
Your CV isn’t important in the world of blogging. Neither is your current salary.
If you’ve made some mistakes in the past or are a college dropout, that isn’t a factor either. You can still inspire thousands of people all over the world a few weeks or months from now with what you write on your blog.
Then, once you have their attention, you can start making your first dollars. What comes next is increasing your income, turning this into a real business, and reaching even more people.
Blogging changed my life in other ways too.
I’m my own boss in more than one way.
I don’t depend on my family or the country I come from anymore. I started a whole new chapter by moving elsewhere and exposing myself to a completely different culture – the Dutch one.
Challenging myself with that, and doing it successfully, is part of my story as a blogger now. It makes me a lifestyle designer – someone who found a way to design their life the way they want it to be.
How this sort of freedom and happiness and meaning will look for you once you become a blogger isn’t sure yet, and that’s okay.
You’ll see for yourself and will take action according to what feels right and what works in terms of bringing traffic to your site and making your first money. Whatever works, you can double the results from it by optimizing your approach and leaving behind less important activities.
Remember this: you have all it takes to make thousands of dollars each month from blogging.
Don’t worry about the big picture yet. Don’t worry about how long it will take or whether you can stay consistent long enough.
Just have trust in the process because the Internet is filled with stories of people just like me and you who started from nothing, set up a blog to see what might happen, began making a little money every now and then, and then things started scaling from there.
Believe that financial freedom through blogging is possible! The rest is a matter of consistency and learning all you can about this business model.

Be in love with the learning process as it can make you a millionaire one day. Not a single person succeeded, online or not, without consuming a ton of information about their field of expertise, trying different approaches to the same thing, learning how to sell and negotiate, seeing how competitors are crushing it, and so on.
