Here’s The New Pinterest Keyword Tool I’m Using: PinClicks
I’ve been hearing about PinClicks – a Pinterest keyword tool with some awesome features – for a long time now by almost any blogger I’m following.
I trust them so I already knew it works. Plus, Pinterest itself doesn’t really reveal much about the keywords and its algorithm, so it’s worth using an external tool for that. But there wasn’t really a good one till now.
I signed up for the 5-day free trial of PinClicks, played around, loved it, and now got the yearly subscription. So I decided to share about it with you in case you too are looking for help with finding the right keywords to target on Pinterest.
Here’s a look inside.
What Can PinClicks Do
Keyword Explorer
The main reason why I signed up is the Keyword Explorer they have, and you can see it in action below:

What most bloggers do wrong is that we use the Pinterest search bar, see a keyword we want to target appears there, and make a Pin for it.
But that doesn’t mean there’s any significant traffic or interest for it.
PinClicks helps us find out what works and target the right keywords so we can actually get views and clicks on our Pins.
Top Pins
Once you pick a keyword, you can also see the top Pins for it.
That’s helpful because you can see if they are old. In that case, a fresh Pin on the topic is likely to do well.
Also, you can see what designs work well and follow that style, but at the same time create a better Pin.
Search Suggestions & Interests
If you look again at the first image, you’ll see I’ve checked 2 boxes – search suggestions and interests. And that’s the amazing thing about PinClicks – it also takes interests into consideration.
If you didn’t know, Pinterest has a huge database of Interests (topics). They are another ranking signal, together with saves and keywords.
PinClicks gives you access to this database of Interests (more than 12 million!) and it works by simply using the Keyword Explorer and checking the Interests box.
The goal is to get Pinterest to associate your Pin with the right interests and keywords, and then you can get traction.
Pretty cool, right? Imagine how time consuming that would be without a tool like this.
There’s a lot more to PinClicks but I haven’t even explored all features yet. I was eager to use the Keyword Explorer for each new Pin I create for my blog.
I simply don’t want to waste any time or effort for something that won’t get results. And that was the case up until now because I was blindly targeting keywords that I thought were good. But the magic is in the data, and PinClicks gives us access to that.
Are you using a Pinterest keyword tool too?
How about you? Have you tried PinClicks or any other similar tool?
If you’re pinning content regularly (new and old blog posts), a tool like that can be a game-changer for you.
You can sign up for the 5-day free trial and test PinClicks. That’s what I did.
After that, decide if it’s worth the investment. For me, it was a resounding yes.
I’ll report back when I’ve used the tool longer and have seen some results and have explored the rest of its features. For now, I was just excited to share about it as it might just be what your Pinterest account and blogging business need.
