Your Expertise is The Niche: How I’m Niching Down

I’m not here to make you feel limited in your business.

There are plenty of people who don’t have a specific niche and are doing really well. They often have a big presence on socials, though, and their followers are just obsessed with them and love everything they say, teach and launch.

But that’s not the case for the average small business owner or blogger.

And yet, it’s absolutely key to stick to your passions and follow your heart so you never get bored with the topics you teach online.

Passion keeps you going when nothing else does, so it’s a key element.

But the way I had structured things in my business hasn’t been the most effective one.

I’ve monetized the blog and mostly earn from sponsored content and working with brands. In the meantime, I kept creating content on all platforms on topics I’m deeply passionate about.

But it still felt scattered. People were confused. Search engines and social media algorithms too.

And I always felt like I wanted to niche down. But I’ve been resisting it for years…

Why niche down?

I believe that’s where the biggest impact lies (helping more people and in a better way), as well as profit (becoming an expert, creating brand consistency and monetizing strategically), effectiveness (not wasting time on projects that won’t get results, doing less, in less time, and getting paid more as well as growing your presence on all platforms), and ideal lifestyle (having more time and mental space to focus on other areas of your life, feeling good about yourself and your work because you’re being more authentic, not worrying about money, etc.)

So that’s why I’m now in the process of niching down. And if you too are looking for that, keep reading.

How I’m getting clear on my niche

I am obsessed with personal growth. I love working from home and productivity and have so many new tips and insights to share on that.

Mindset, and money mindset, in particular, is something I’m learning so much about all the time, taking new programs on it, doing the inner work and seeing progress.

Lifestyle design, business and financial independence are things I’ve always been fascinated with, aspired for and wanted to write about.

All these are such general topics that I was all over the place.

From all business topics, blogging is my niche.

And to narrow it down further, it’s sponsored blogging. Now that’s a good one because there’s a big gap in the industry, not enough information about it, I have a ton of experience and a lot more to share about it.

Plus, I have a course on blog sponsorships that students absolutely love, and there are many bloggers who want to monetize in this way (even experienced ones who are already earning a lot) but don’t know how.

I’m the person for them.

And that’s why now, this is the 1 thing I teach and want to be known for online.

How I’m niching down

I removed some old lead magnets, and while I kept a few good ones, my main freebie now is my guide on how to start earning from sponsorships.

Once you sign up, you’re enrolled in an email sequence that teaches you more about this business model.

And there’s a step in-between – a tripwire offer. You can grab my blogging case study (which is also my annual blog income report) with a massive discount. Inside, I share my revenue from sponsorships and take you behind the scenes of my business.

This serves as proof that it’s possible for you too, but it also inspires you to take action and shows you my expertise. I don’t just teach that, it’s how I’m actually earning my revenue as a blogger.

My social media accounts describe me as a blog sponsorship expert now and with most of the content there, I share tips and insights related to sponsored blogging.

My main offer is my course The Blog Sponsorship Boss, which I’m adding new lessons to every now and then.

I’m currently creating a new offer to add to my product suite, which will be higher-priced and for the bloggers already earning a full-time income with blogging but who haven’t monetized with sponsorships yet.

In addition, I got back to guest posting, and the goal is to introduce new audiences to sponsored blogging. I published one post on a great platform (with a big blogging community) already, and have another one in the works.

Also, if I have a new feature, I’d like the focus to be on being a sponsored blogging expert, not just someone who teaches blogging as it was till recently.

I have a feature in a big publication in the works now and that’s exactly what it’s about. It will be published in a few weeks and I’m looking forward to it.

This is how you niche down, but also how you build trust and create a brand that’s known for one main thing.

This is how people start paying attention, even if they aren’t interested in this exact topic, and how they start recommending you to others.

This is the magic of niching down.

Your expertise is the niche.

Let me know if that resonates and how you’re leaning into your expertise online.
