Unsurprisingly, Tinder comes out on top, earning a whopping £1,276 every minute – or £1,837,741 every day! With an estimated 50 million users, one million of whom pay for a premium subscription option, it’s easy to see why Tinder tops the financial charts.

Coming in second place is female-friendly Bumble, which earns a still impressive £102 per minute – or £147,054 per day. Following in Tinder’s footsteps, Bumble also offers a premium service which allows users to unlock additional features for a monthly fee.

Match and Zoosk take third and fourth place, earning £92 and £85 per minute respectively. Online dating veteran Plenty of Fish is next on the list, reeling in £47 every minute.

Infamous infidelity site Ashley Madison has struggled to recover from its 2015 data breach controversy, now making just over £21 per minute.

Bringing up the rear is relative newcomer Huggle, an app which matches users based on mutual interests and common locations. While Huggle is currently earning just 7p per minute, with a growing number of active users and celebrity fans, could 2018 be the year it climbs the rankings?
