How Andrea Caprio Scaled Her Coaching Business Through Collaborations
This is an interview with Andrea Caprio of Wellness Methods.
Hey, Andrea. Tell us a bit about yourself and what you do.
I’m Andrea Caprio, a Master Business Coach and the founder of Wellness Methods. These days, I help coaches and solopreneurs grow from mid–five figures to six figures and beyond, using collaborations and smart strategies so they don’t burn out along the way.
My work blends the practical side of business growth with the mindset shifts entrepreneurs need to actually enjoy the freedom they’re building.
How did your business journey begin?
I actually started in health and nutrition coaching. For years, I helped women overcome emotional eating.
But here’s the funny thing, while I was helping them with food freedom, so many of my fellow coaches were coming to me behind the scenes asking, “Andrea, how are you actually getting clients?”
That’s when I realized I had another calling: mentoring coaches on the business side.
When and why did you start Wellness Methods?
Wellness Methods was born when I noticed how many amazing coaches were stuck at a plateau. They were passionate, they were great at what they did, but they couldn’t quite crack the code to consistent growth.
I decided to focus on helping them bridge that gap; because I had been there, too.
My niche evolved naturally: I help coaches get more clients through collaborations and advanced strategies.
Why collaborations? Because they’re the fastest, most authentic way to grow; and they’ve been the #1 driver of my own business.
How long did it take you to sign your first client?
It took a few months. My very first client paid me $97 for a coaching session, and I remember feeling both nervous and incredibly excited.
That $97 wasn’t just money. It was proof that people would pay for my expertise.
From there, I built programs, packages and digital offers ranging from $9 to $8700 and that’s when I started to feel real stability.
What was your first year as a coach like?
It was a lot of trial and error. I tried blogging, posting on social media, summits; you name it.
Some things worked, others didn’t. But every step gave me clarity.
Looking back, that first year taught me the importance of systems and visibility.
Today I tell my clients: don’t wait years to figure it out like I did; get the foundations in place early and then practice consistency.
How do new clients usually find you now? What are your main sources of traffic and leads?
Most of my clients find me through collaborations like summits, bundles, and joint events.
When you collaborate, you borrow trust from your partners, and that shortens the time it takes someone to decide to work with you.
Beyond that, podcast guesting, YouTube, and features like this one continue to bring new people into my world.

What’s your current content strategy?
I focus on evergreen, high-value content. That means content that solves the exact problems my clients are Googling or asking me about.
I batch and repurpose as much as possible, so one podcast episode can become a blog, a YouTube clip, and a dozen social posts.
I also update older content because why reinvent the wheel when you already have posts working for you?
What does it take to get some traction on YouTube as a coach?
I started experimenting with videos a few years ago. Honestly, the big shift came when I stopped obsessing over perfect lighting and editing and just started showing up as me.
People don’t want polished, they want connection.
My tip: create videos that answer the exact questions your audience is stuck on. That’s how they find you, and once they binge a few videos, you become their go-to coach.
How have you grown your email list?
Bundles, summits, and collaborations have grown my list the fastest.
My email list is really the heart of my business; it’s where I build relationships.
Social media is great for visibility, but email is where I can nurture people, share stories, and invite them into my offers. I always tell my clients: your list is your business’s safety net.
Which social media platform has helped you grow the most?
Facebook, hands down. My group, Connect & Convert: Boost Your Leads Through Collaboration, has been such a powerful space for building relationships.
I don’t use social media just to “post”. I use it to connect, have conversations, and create community. That’s where growth really happens.
What other ways to grow your brand and following have worked for you?
Partnerships. Nothing has grown my business faster.
Summits, podcast guesting, bundles, collaborations; they all create win-win opportunities. Instead of fighting for visibility on your own, you multiply your reach through others.
When did you start creating digital products?
Early on, I created eBooks and small courses. Now I focus on digital resources that solve very specific problems like my Collaboration Growth Blueprint.
These products are both income generators and lead-ins to my higher-level coaching. They give people a taste of my approach and build trust.
What are your main income streams today?
About 60% comes from coaching and mentoring, 25% from products and workshops, and 15% from affiliate partnerships and collaborations.
Having multiple streams is important because it keeps the business balanced and resilient.

Do you use AI tools or other tech to help with your business, content, or client work?
Yes – and I recommend every entrepreneur learn how to use them.
I use AI to repurpose content, brainstorm ideas, and save time on admin tasks.
Tech tools like Systeme help me automate marketing and client onboarding.
The key is: let tech do the heavy lifting so you can focus on serving your clients.
What challenges (like industry changes or algorithms) have you faced, and how have you adapted?
Algorithms change all the time and that used to frustrate me. But instead of chasing them, I doubled down on collaborations and my email list. Those are things you control.
My advice: never build your business on rented land. Use platforms for visibility, but always bring people back into your own ecosystem. And …my VA team is everything, without them I would have never made it thus far!
How do you see the future of the coaching industry, especially with all the tech changes happening?
Coaching isn’t going anywhere, in fact, I think it’s only growing.
AI will make running a business easier, but transformation requires human connection. Coaches who combine strategy, authenticity, and tech will thrive. The future belongs to those who adapt and keep relationships at the core of what they do.
What advice would you give to other coaches?
Stop trying to do it all alone. Growth happens faster when you collaborate and build community.
And always, always build your email list. Those two things will give you a sustainable business you love, without the constant hustle.
What’s next for you and Wellness Methods?
I’m expanding my Strategic Collaboration Mastery program, because I truly believe collaborations are the future of client attraction. I
’m also hosting retreats, like our upcoming Amalfi Coast Retreat, which blend business growth with deep personal transformation.
For me, it’s about living what I teach: building abundance and freedom in a way that feels good.
