how to stay positive in difficult times - infographic - how to live in harmony

Peace is the highest happiness. And one great way to welcome it in your life is to learn how to live in harmony.

Harmony is deeply connected with the balance of your mind, body and soul.

As long as we can remember, we’ve always been striving for the golden mean – that state, in which we become conscious of every detail of our inner and outer world, we accept things as they are, and just then are we able to embrace the new ones.

I’m not talking about perfection here. It is a different thing – reaching excellence in everything we do and seeking for the ideal.

From a philosophical point of view, though, those who are perfect are different from everyone else, which makes them imperfect.

A lot of famous people in the history have dedicated their lives to a desperate search of that utopia, but after failing to reach it, and finally realizing how mortal and powerless they are in the face of faith, they have lost their minds.

Harmony is completely another thing.

It’s happiness, completeness, fulfillment, satisfaction, acceptance, peace and awareness.

There are a few steps we have to take in order to live in harmony.

Most of these things we are completely familiar with, and, yet, somehow we tend to avoid them. Maybe we are afraid to become the best versions of ourselves and to reach success.

Well, fear is our worst enemy and with it, we will always stay at the same level. So, overcome it, and start your journey to success by attaining harmony.

Here is what you need to do (give your mind time to get used to every change you make and be patient) :

How to Live in Harmony

1. Define where you are now.

What have you achieved? What qualities do you have? What have you learned?

 2. Define where you want to get and who you want to become.

Now answer the same questions from the step above, but for the future. Set your goals and start doing something to achieve them right away.

3. Accept everything you are, have and have done.

Summarize everything you have – family, friends, home, education, qualities, achievements,  possibilities, etc. – and appreciate it.

4. Learn to listen to your mind.

It has a lot to tell you, but this can happen only if you listen to it, ask questions and respect it.

5. Meditate.

Meditation is the way to achieve the previous step and ultimately, live in harmony.

There are various techniques and methods but they all include body and mind relaxation, concentrating on your own thought and listening to your consciousness.

If you do it to clear your mind, then after a few sessions and a lot of patience and focus, amazing things can happen.

6. Respect your desires and needs.

7. Give in order to get and satisfaction will come.

8. Be grateful.

Show the people in your life how much they mean to you.

9. Do things for yourself.

10. Take full responsibility for everything you’ve done.

This is one of the most important qualities you need to acquire. Steve Kamb from Nerd Fitness said it best in his post.

11. Move on.

After accepting all your negative qualities and imperfections, you can now consciously start improving them one by one.

You will have to let some things go and welcome new ones in your life.

12. Learn to love your body and then make it better.

13. Have some quiet time for yourself.

Last but not least, to live in harmony, you need to make time for yourself.

A lot of people I know are afraid to be left alone in a room even for a few minutes. That means they are so insecure and afraid, that every fear and thought they’ve been avoiding will suddenly pop up in their mind.

It’s easier for them to indulge in the illusion of their comfort zone, which in this case is their social life. That is why they spend their free time communicating with others, even though sometimes it is just random people with whom they have nothing in common.

It is a sad picture as they are ruining their potential by surrounding themselves with unimportant acquaintances (that means that you cannot learn something from them), staying in cafes and discussing other people and events just to kill some time.

What they have to do is take some time for themselves, be alone, start getting to know themselves and realize that others aren’t the people they can truly depend on.

Have you already taken some of these steps to live in harmony? Which one do you consider most important?
