This is an interview with Amanda Bybel.
Hey, Amanda. Tell us a bit about yourself and what you do.
I always knew that I was meant for so much more than filing papers and making things happen behind the scenes. I think even from my first ever job, I had already started plotting my corporate escape (can you relate?).
I come from an entrepreneurial background and while I was growing up my dad had his own successful business and I knew I wanted to create something of my own that was both meaningful and impactful.
Just for some reason, I always ended up back in the same spot (in a different company at a different desk) thinking, when will it be my turn?
I did what most people would do in my situation and scoured the internet for my way out. I came across a personal development program and I invested in it. For the first time in my life I started to achieve personal goals that I put down on paper.
My whole life I was comparing my success to the CEOs and founders that I supported, and for the first time I was taught that I get to define what success looks like to me. When I shifted the focus inward, my whole life changed.
Because of this simple yet transformational experience, I decided to get certified to teach the very thing that changed my life – Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
Why did you choose to become self-employed? Why coaching?
My dad made it look so easy! My dad was also a successful business owner and had initially started his glass and mirror business out of my grandparents garage.
He was around a lot growing up and if I am being honest here, when I took a look at the hours I was working every day in my corporate job, I was lucky if I was able to string together an hour or 2 in a row to spend time with my husband. I knew that I wanted to be there for my family and children when the time came. I just wasn’t sure how I was going to do it.
I sort of fell into coaching after literally trying every business under the sun.
After that personal development program I enrolled in, light bulbs started to go off in my head… like why hadn’t I known about NLP before? What would be possible for more women like me if they were to learn about it?
Well, the answer is the possibilities are endless and I have been blessed enough to work with hundreds of women in helping them create their dream lives by becoming truly magnetic.
What’s your niche and how did you know it’s the right one for you?
Honestly, I don’t think I have a “niche” persay. Because The Inner Beauty Bybel + The Sparkle System Certification is a school of business and personal growth that happens to offer certification in money and mindset mastery, we attract all kinds of amazing women who just want to be the best versions of themselves.
I think they evolve as we evolve in each level of our journey. Right now, I am attracting new moms into my school because of where I currently am in my stage of life.
What does building a business on the side of a full-time job look like?
I think the main shift that has to happen is the mindset from one of “let me GTFO of corporate to WOW this job is funding my dream”.
If you know me then you know my obsession with manifesting and the Law Of Attraction, so what we focus on expands right? That shift, boundaries and time management are key.
How long after starting Inner Beauty Bybel did you quit your job? How much were you earning from your business when you quit?
I started my business around February 2019 and I was offering $20 for 20 minute mentorship calls on my bathroom, coffee and lunch breaks (LOL). Obviously that was not sustainable.
After I took a course, I raised my prices and in June 2019 I had my first $10k month which JUST replaced my cushy corporate salary.
That’s when I said goodbye to corporate. In July, I made $0 and by November I was bringing in between $15-$20k. Then the rest was history.
What changed the moment you were a full-time business owner?
LOL the first thing that comes to mind is that first day I didn’t go to the office. I went to the rooftop of my NYC apartment building and thought “why doesn’t everyone know?”
The world should know! It was at that moment that I realized that I really was my own boss and with that came a whole new set of responsibilities and boundaries to stick to.
I think the feeling of freedom and liberation literally throughout my whole body is the main thing that changed because I had forgotten what that felt like.
What offers have you released since then, and what are your current ones?
Oh wow the list goes on. My signature offer is The Sparkle System Certification which is an accredited certification with 2 international governing boards. We are a school of business and personal growth that offer certification in mindset mastery. The key to money and business growth comes from within and we teach the science behind manifestation!

What role does Instagram play in your coaching business?
I do all of my business on Instagram! I think that it’s such a gift to have a free platform to connect with people from every corner of the world.
I think everyone has the ability to create income and impact online. Nurturing your community comes first. Whether you have 1, 10, 100 or 100,000,000,000 followers, imagine speaking in front of the number of followers you have!
That’s a beautiful stage to stand on. The world needs your voice, your message and your story and with that connection comes clients.
How did you embody being a 6-figure CEO before you actually became one?
I truly defined my 2.0 CEO self and began to just BE her on a daily basis. The universal laws had to work in my favor! I started to expect amazing things to happen because that’s what my 2.0 embodied.
I dressed like her, held myself accountable like her, ate like her, showed up for my family and my community like she did and the list goes on. I think when we BE the person we want to be results literally happen.
That’s when quantum leaps happen. That’s some of what we teach in The Sparkle System.
What inspired you to create a coaching and practitioner certification?
I loved NLP so much that I wanted to think of something that would change the world! This is my way of making a larger impact and being more part of the ripple effect.

What were the big business moves & mindset shifts that took you to 6 figures?
Making investments before I was ready.
Let’s be honest, we are never ready to just click submit on a $10,000 enrollment. I had to believe in what I was investing.
It was expansive, not expensive. Every time I made an investment my ROI would blow my mind. I think an energetic upgrade would happen instantly and I was really honoring my 2.0 self.
What does a week in your business look like?
My work days are Wednesday and Thursday from 9-4. I have all my group calls, team calls and creation that happens on those 2 days. The other days I am a full time mom!
How do you show up online during a launch?
Every launch looks a little different. We do “pushes’ in a sense since the certification is ongoing and enrollment is pretty open.
But I show up in a way that would make me want to invest in the program. So I took a look at what I would want to see from someone who I was thinking about investing in.
This would include stories, posts, and emails which would cause me to expect my enrollment and launch dreams to happen.
I also love to float into launch day and imagine all the incredible women who say “yes” right in front of me and operate from that space of gratitude.
What’s your high-vibe morning routine?
Nowadays, coffee at 5-6am, journaling, and then baby snuggles =)
What’s next for you and your business?
